The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region V, in collaboration with the Provincial Science and Technology Office of Sorsogon (PSTO Sorsogon), successfully installed and deployed the First Science and Technology Digital Library in the Philippines, known as “Library-in-a-Box” developed by the DOST Science and Technology Information Institute (STII), to nine (9) identified schools through Programa Genio of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc, on 29 November 2022 at Schools Division Office of Sorsogon City.
STARBOOKS and Programa Genio share a mutual advocacy to uplift the state of Filipino students by providing them with free learning resources and the tools they need.
Heads and IT focal went through an orientation and training on the operation and utilization of STARBOOKS, followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) led by Engr. Sandro B. Noguera, Provincial S&T Director of DOST-PSTO Sorsogon.
