Congratulations to DOST-Central Luzon for bringing home multiple awards and recognitions during the STARBOOKS 15th Anniversary Celebration themed, “STARBOOKS@15: Crystal Years. Countless Stories. Infinite Knowledge,” held on June 24, 2026, at Acacia Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

The milestone event gathered STARBOOKS deployment officers, focal persons, and partners from across the country to celebrate fifteen years of advancing science, technology, and innovation (STI) information access through the Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated Kiosks (STARBOOKS).

DOST-Central Luzon proudly received several awards that showcased the region’s dedication and excellence in STARBOOKS implementation:

1st Place – STARBOOKS Deployment Video Contest

Awarded to DOST-Nueva Ecija for its outstanding video presentation highlighting the impact and success of STARBOOKS deployment in the province.

1st Place – Best Scribe Award

Awarded to DOST-Tarlac for exemplary documentation and reporting during the STARBOOKS activities and engagements.

3rd Place – Best Scribe Award

Awarded to DOST-Bataan in recognition of its commendable performance and contribution to documenting STARBOOKS initiatives.

In addition to these individual recognitions, DOST-Central Luzon was honored for its remarkable achievement in expanding access to science and technology information across the region. To date, the region has successfully installed 724 STARBOOKS units in schools, local government units (LGUs), libraries, and communities throughout Central Luzon, significantly contributing to the dissemination of STI resources, especially in underserved and geographically isolated areas.

These accomplishments reflect the unwavering commitment, dedication, and hard work of the STARBOOKS Deployment Officers and support personnel across the region who continue to ensure that knowledge and innovation remain accessible to every Filipino.

Representing DOST-Central Luzon during the celebration were the STARBOOKS Deployment Officers from the provincial offices, together with Michael John S. Rivera, Regional STARBOOKS Focal.

The awards and recognitions serve as a testament to DOST-Central Luzon’s continuing efforts to bridge information gaps and empower communities through science, technology, and innovation.

As STARBOOKS celebrates fifteen years of transforming lives through knowledge, DOST-Central Luzon remains committed to creating more success stories and expanding opportunities for learning across the region.
