The Department of Science and Technologyโ€“Science and Technology Information Institute (DOSTโ€“STII), through its STARBOOKS program, formalized a partnership with the DOSTโ€“National Capital Region (DOSTโ€“NCR) and the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Paraรฑaque through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held at the Jaime Ferrer Hall, SDO Paraรฑaque.

The program was led by Florante D. Garcia, PhD, Education Program Supervisor, with signatories Kim L. Atienza, Officer-in-Charge of the Clustered Area Science and Technology Office of Muntinlupa, Taguig, Paranaque and Las Pinas (CASTO-MUNTAPARLAS) representing DOSTโ€“NCR Regional Director Engr. Romelen T. Tresvalles; Alan C. Taule, IRAD Chief of DOSTโ€“STII STARBOOKS; and Loretta B. Torrecampo, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Paraรฑaque.

The partnership strengthens efforts to expand access to science and technology information and promote transformative learning. A training orientation for teachers and school administrators followed, focusing on the effective use of STARBOOKS as a classroom learning tool.

Ahead of the MOA signing, a mass installation of STARBOOKS was completed in 10 schools, benefiting about 6,000 learners and 100 teachers. The initiative supports digital literacy, deeper classroom engagement, and the continuing improvement of science and technology education.
