The Dominican School of Pilar in Sorsogon and Our Lady of La Porteira Academy in Camarines Sur are the newest additions to the growing network of schools benefiting from the DOST’s “science library in a box” — the Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly-Operated KioskS (STARBOOKS).

DOST-Bicol officially turned over the digital resources as part of the program’s continuing regional rollout. The initiative was made possible through a partnership with Quipper, an education technology company specializing in e-learning services.

To ensure the effective use of the platform, DOST-Bicol’s STARBOOKS implementers conducted orientations and hands-on training sessions for teachers and students from both schools, guiding them on how to navigate and maximize

its learning and research features.
