𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐨 | The DOST XII - Department of Science and Technology - Region XII - Cotabato Provincial Office, participated in the Inauguration Program of the newly established Library of Kidapawan City National High School (KCNHS) on September 9, 2025.

The DOST Cotabato team, guided by Regional Director Engr. Sammy P. Malawan through Provincial Director Dr. Michael T. Mayo, showcased the features and functions of the DOST Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosk Station (STARBOOKS). This digital library will serve as a valuable resource for students, teachers, and researchers providing access to thousands of science and technology materials, e-books, and interactive content. It is expected to significantly enhance the learning experience in the newly inaugurated library.

Recently, the DepEd RXII SDO Kidapawan City, led by Schools Division Superintendent Miguel Fillalan Jr., CESO V, received five DOST-STARBOOKS units from DOST during the visit of DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr. at the University of Southern Mindanao in Kabacan. These were provided to further promote digital literacy and expand educational opportunities for the students in the division.

The participation of DOST XII Cotabato Province in this milestone event reflects the agency’s strong commitment to promoting literacy, advancing science and technology education, and supporting the development of a knowledge-driven community in Kidapawan City and the entire province.
