In another milestone in konekting science with the people, ScienceKonek officially partnered with DOST-STARBOOKS on 24 June 2025, during a ceremonial signing held at Kalayaan Hall, SM Aura, Taguig City.

This exciting collaboration marks a new chapter for ScienceKonek, as it begins contributing original science and technology content to STARBOOKS, a digital resource hub that will reach communities across the country.

STARBOOKS (Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS) is a flagship initiative of the Department of Science and Technology – Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII). This standalone kiosk system gives users offline access to thousands of S&T resources, from text to audio and video content, including Tamang DOSTkarte livelihood features that foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

The partnership was formalized by Sir Alan C. Taule, Chief of the Information Resources and Analysis Division of DOST-STII, and Mr. Ralph Lauren Abainza, Founding President of ScienceKonek. Serving as witness was Mr. Rean Paul Dajucon, ScienceKonek’s Director for Biology.

ScienceKonek expresses its heartfelt gratitude to DOST-STII and DOST-NCR for this opportunity to contribute to the advancement of science and technology education. As one of the first youth organizations to take part in STARBOOKS content development, ScienceKonek proudly champions the vital role of youth in empowering fellow Filipinos through accessible and engaging scientific knowledge.

In his message, Founding President Ralph Abainza reaffirmed the organization’s mission: to bring science closer to the youth and help inspire the next generation of STEM leaders who will shape a brighter future for the Philippines.
