On August 15, 2025, the Department of Science and Technology - CAR PSTO Ifugao, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Kiangan, successfully conducted the STARBOOKS Users and Administrators Training at Mungayang National High School.

This activity forms part of the Human Resource Development component of the “Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) Project for Kiangan, Ifugao – Phase II,” aimed at empowering local schools by providing access to vital digital learning tools.

Students and teachers of Munggayang NHS actively participated in the training, gaining essential knowledge and skills in using and managing STARBOOKS (Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosk Station)—a standalone digital library developed by DOST-STII.

As a highlight of the event, a complete STARBOOKS kiosk system was officially turned over to the school, granting offline access to thousands of science and technology resources, educational references, and research materials to support both teaching and learning.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, partners, and stakeholders who contributed to the success of this initiative. Together, we continue to promote science, technology, and innovation for inclusive education and community development.
