DOST R02 installs STARBOOKS to 11 Schools in District III

The Department of Science and Technology Region 02 (DOST) Region 02, with the support of the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Cagayan, has installed STARBOOKS in more schools—this time in District III.

STARBOOKS stands for Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS. It is a digital tool that gives learners and teachers offline access to thousands of science and technology materials. This is useful for schools that do not have reliable internet access.

Eleven schools in District III received STARBOOKS, including:

This move shows the strong teamwork between DOST RO2 and SDO Cagayan. Both offices want to give learners equal access to learning tools, no matter where they live.

The goal is to improve science learning, digital skills, and research—especially in far-flung areas. With STARBOOKS, learners can learn more even without the internet.

DOST RO2 and SDO Cagayan will keep working together to bring new learning tools to more schools. Their shared goal is to help build a smarter, more prepared, and more connected future for the youth.
