The value of STARBOOKS as a valuable STEM education reference was highlighted once again with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in ceremonies held in Cabanatuan City.
This MOA was signed with DOST-Science and Technology Information Institute, DOST Region 3, and the DepEd School Division Office as signatories, wherein STARBOOKS shall be installed in more than 60 elementary and secondary schools to enhance science and technology literacy throughout the city.
Present at the signing were DOST Region 3 Director Dr. Julius Ceasar V. Sicat, DepEd School Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Catalina P. Paez, DepEd Assistant SDS Donato B. Chico, and Education Program Supervisors Sonny De Leon and Romeo Hipolito.
Following the MOA signing, STARBOOKS unit member Reynaldo A. Morales, Jr., oriented the teachers and ICT personnel on the use of STARBOOKS to maximize its effect on the learning process of its users.
STARBOOKS, or the Science & Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated KioskS, contains thousands of free science, technology, and innovation learning resources as well as DepEd curriculum-aligned K-12 learning materials.
