๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐๐, ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฎ๐ฐ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ โ The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. IX (DOST IX), through its Provincial Science and Technology Office - Zamboanga del Norte (PSTO-ZDN), has successfully turned over three sets of computer systems equipped with STARBOOKS to three schools in Dapitan City: Dampalan Elementary School, San Nicolas Elementary School, and Aseniero National High School.
This initiative is part of the "๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ป๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ป" (๐๐๐ฆ๐ง-๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ป) project, which aims to enhance education by providing accessible digital learning resources.
The turnover ceremony was attended by Dapitan City Mayor Seth Frederick P. Jalosjos, Councilor Joseph Ryan A. Agolong, school ICT focal persons, and the principals of the recipient schools.
On behalf of the beneficiary schools, Jocelyn E. Acorin, Principal IV of San Nicolas Elementary School, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing that STARBOOKS will greatly enhance students' learning experiences and provide teachers with essential resources to improve the quality of education.
To formalize the partnership, the schools signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the acquisition of STARBOOKS. Additionally, faculty members underwent training conducted by PSTO-ZDN personnel to ensure the effective use and operation of the technology.

It houses thousands of science and technology resources within desktop computers, making quality educational materials accessible even in areas with limited internet connectivity.
Through projects like STARBOOKS, the agency continues to strengthen digital literacy and ensure that students and educators in Dapitan City have access to essential learning tools, further promoting science, technology, and innovation-driven education.
