Enhancing S&T Access: DOST XII Brings STARBOOKS to Southern Baptist College

Students, faculty, and researchers of Southern Baptist College, Incorporated in M’lang, North Cotabato, led by President Alvin Lynn P. Bergante, can now explore the vast resources of STARBOOKS or Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosks.

On January 21, 2025, the DOST XII - Department of Science and Technology - Region XII installed the innovative digital library across three computer units designated for the elementary, high school, and college departments.

To ensure the effective utilization of this resource, DOST XII conducted an Orientation and User’s Hands-On Training for SBC personnel and students, providing an overview of DOST-STARBOOKS and its features. The training aims to empower users to maximize the digital library's capabilities.

Developed by the DOST- Science and Technology Information Institute (STII), STARBOOKS offers access to a rich repository of scientific and technological information without requiring an internet connection. This latest STARBOOKS installation is an attestation of DOST XII's commitment to promoting science and technology information dissemination in educational institutions.
