Tagabuli Elementary School Joins Growing List of STARBOOKS Recipients in Davao del Sur

In an exciting development for the local education community, Tagabuli Elementary School has officially joined the list of recipients of the STARBOOKS Program, an initiative from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). This program is set to change the way students and teachers access and interact with Science and Technology (S&T) resources.
The partnership was formalized on 28 November 2024, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between DOST XI and Tagabuli Elementary School. The event was attended by key representatives from both parties, including Ms. Rane A. Gemperoso, the School Head of Tagabuli Elementary, witnessed by Ms. Leah Mayol Sumalinog, and Ms. Zhaira M. Rabaño, of DOST- PSTO-Davao del Sur. Following the signing of MOU, the STARBOOKS was installed in the school's computer system.
The STARBOOKS system, which stands for "Science and Technology Academic-Research Based Openly Operated Kiosk Stations," provides a vast collection of digital materials designed to enrich the learning experience. Students and teachers can now access resources such as instructional videos, DOST publications, disaster mitigation guides, and interactive materials on various scientific topics. With this new resource, Tagabuli Elementary School is taking a significant step toward promoting a stronger foundation in S&T education.
