STARBOOKS Unit awarded to Pantabangan West Integrated School

DOST PSTO-Nueva Ecija, in partnership with DOST-STII and the Office of Nueva Ecija 2nd District Board Member, Hon. Jason J. Abalos, awarded one unit of STARBOOKS to Pantabangan West Integrated School (PWIS) today, August 29.

This deployment is under the initiative of BPI Foundation as they donated the offline digital library that contains thousands of resources to PWIS, one of the four recipients in Region 3.

NE STARBOOKS Deployment Office Mr. Ralph Louie C. Binene and DOST-STII STARBOOKS Coordinator Mr. Rommel M. Azucena, Jr. discussed to the recipient the process on the utilization of the technology and how it can be maximized for their benefits.

PWIS School Head Mr. Fermin Estil Jr. mentioned in his acceptance speech how this intervention could boost the students' interest in S&T resources, as well as guide them in their education.

DOST NE Provincial Director Ms. Leidi Mel B. Sicat, NE 2nd District Board Member Hon. Jason J. Abalos, and BPI Foundation BPI-Direct Banko Business Manager Ms. Emile M. Cabulay were present in the turnover activity.

This collaboration is a testament to the continuous efforts of private and government agencies to push through with progressive interventions to assist rural communities towards development.
