DOST, Team Energy, Turnover STARBOOKS at Polillo Central ES

To enhance science learning experience, Polillo Central Elementary School (PCES) officially receives the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly – Operated Kiosks (STARBOOKS), and Team Energy Corporation’s donated educational materials, May 22, 2024.

STARBOOKS is a digital library in a box, which contains thousands of digitized science and technology resources including books, journals, theses, dissertations, and technical reports, as well as interactive materials like videos and learning modules. Through the said partnership, 2 STARBOOKS kiosks, 2 desktop computers, 2 computer chairs and tables, 1 printer, 1 75” television, Wi-Fi router, computer accessories, has been granted to the school for its learners.

Ms. Emelita P. Bagsit, DOST CALABARZON Regional Director, and Ms. Maria Esperanza E. Jawili, DOST Quezon Provincial Director, welcomed the participants. Team Energy was represented by Mr. Froilan Gregory H. Romualdez III, Head of Corporate Affairs. Together, Hon. Angelique Bosque, Municipal Mayor, and Gilbert J. Rogado, PCES Principal, graced the activity.

Furthermore, Jayson E. Villariño, PTA I and the Project Focal, facilitates the students and teachers’ training on how to navigate and use the STARBOOKS.
