Selected High Schools in Romblon Received DOST-developed Digital Libraries - STARBOOKS

In partnership with BPI Foundation which donated computer hardware systems for DOST's STARBOOKS, four last-mile schools in Romblon received 1 unit each digital library - a proudly Filipino-developed knowledge resource technology!

These lucky schools were Agripino Armedilla National High School, Pascual Catajay Linao National High School, San Jose Agricultural High School, and San Agustin National Trade School. The turnover ceremony facilitated by DOST STII in collaboration with DOST MIMAROPA Romblon Provincial Office was held at San Agustin National Trade School. It was attended by the school heads, ICT focal persons, and selected students who were elated to receive the STARBOOKS. Part of the ceremony was a User Training and Orientation session on STARBOOKS conducted by DOST-STII.

STARBOOKS is DOST's offline/online digital library composed of various learning materials, journals, and publications related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) which could be used by students, faculty, and interested individuals.
